The Sporting News has jumped on the Pittsburgh bandwagon.  They just announced that Pittsburgh has been named their #1 sports city in North America.  I guess having the NFL and NHL champs in town doesn’t hurt.  It’s a pretty impressive award considering Pittsburgh has the worst franchise in MLB history with the Pirates.

Pittsburgh has become the first city to utilize Apple’s iPhone application to report problems.  iBurgh which was created by YinzCam, allows iPhone users to take pictures and report problems they see around the city.

Pittsburgh is even loved by the British. The Economist magazine has named Pittsburgh the most livable city in the U.S. and 29th in the World. Vancouver, B.C. topped the list.
With the recent announcement by President Obama to hold the next G-20 Summit in Pittsburgh, this area is truly on the International radar.
