Allegheny County is trying figure out how to handle their property reassessments.  The county already spent $5.7 million for the 2005 reassessments, which were disallowed.  With 540,000 of properties anxiously awaiting this verdict, Senior Common Pleas Judge R. Stanton Wettick has the fate of many in his hands.

The Urban Redevelopment Authority recently showcased Pittsburgh’s newer developments with a bus tour. With numerous residential and commercial sites being converted, this event must was probably not a short excursion.

The Sporting News has jumped on the Pittsburgh bandwagon.  They just announced that Pittsburgh has been named their #1 sports city in North America.  I guess having the NFL and NHL champs in town doesn’t hurt.  It’s a pretty impressive award considering Pittsburgh has the worst franchise in MLB history with the Pirates.
